What would happen if a star fell down each time a child poked his finger to test a blood sugar…..the sky would be empty. What would happen if the sun went dimmer…..the world would be dark. What would happen if a raindrop fell each time a carb was counted……the earth would be flooded. What would happen if each child heard “we found a cure?” their smiles would put more stars into the sky, more light into the day, and the oceans and rivers would sparkle!
We invite you to participate with “Collins Cruisin’ for a Cause” to help us find a cure.
In 2002, Hope for a Cure Guild and Whittier Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital joined together in an effort to outreach community awareness of Juvenile Diabetes. Collective objectives include; fundraising to contribute towards research, education and to assist other organizations such as “Care Force One”; a mobile health clinic in this endeavor. Through your support we can sustain as a major sponsor for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International’s Annual Walk-a-Thon held each October. Your generosity, awareness and support, enables “hope” a reality and provides the necessary help needed to cope with the challenges associated with the disease until a cure is discovered.
